Wrestlers are divided into two categories novice and open.  Novice wrestlers are the new and beginning wrestlers. Once they have won a certain number of medals they are moved to the open class. Wrestlers are divided also by age and weight with in the open/novice categories for tournaments.

Time
Each match starts with 3 periods, if tied, over time starts. During overtime the first take down wins.
All novice matches- Championship and Consolation will be (1 minute, 1 minute, 1 minute)
Division 1 Open- Championship (1,1,1) / Consolation (1,1,1)
Division 2-5 Open – Championship ( 1.5, 1.5, 1.5) / Consolation (1,1,1)

  • Takedown – T2 – 2 points
  • Escape – E1 – 1 point
  • Reversal – R2- 2 points
  • Near Fall 2- N2- 2 points
  • Near Fall 3 – N3 – 3 points
  • Near Fall 4 – N4 – 4 points
  • Penalty Points – P1 or P2 – 1 or 2 points
